A place to keep up with the place we call home

A school game, a public meeting, a neighborhood change: the details of local life matter. Main Street Hayward brings those details together so neighbors can find useful information and follow the stories behind it.

I’m Mark Lundeen. After more than 40 years working with video, graphics and communications, I’m building this independent local news service around a simple promise: check the sources, explain the facts and keep listening to our community.

Start with our community calendar, school activities and Lac Courte Oreilles coverage. More original reporting will follow as stories are verified. Have a question we should investigate or an event we should know about? Send me a news tip.

Why Main Street?

Every community has stories worth knowing.

I’m Mark Lundeen. I’m starting Main Street Hayward to help neighbors stay connected with what’s happening here—from city notices and meetings to public safety information and community stories.

Our approach is simple: use official sources, check the details and explain them in everyday language. Essential practical information will stay free. A future paid offering will support the extra reporting and context that take time to produce.
